October 5, 2005-NEC System Technologies, Ltd. issued today the "CSR Report 2005" which summarizes its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2005 (April 1, 2004 to March 31, 2005).
The company has been actively addressing CSR management under its corporate philosophy; NEC System Technologies, through the creation of cutting-edge technology, works together with people worldwide to generate knowledge and energy so that together we can create a prosperous information society in which people, societies and nature co-exist in Synthesis.
The CSR Report issued today widely covers the company's efforts toward CSR management. It also discusses the company's social responsibility through compliance, protection of personal information, information security and also the establishment of relationships between local communities and its employees. As for NEC System Technologies' responsibility for the environment, the report also covers the company's achievements and initiatives for the environment.
NEC System Technologies established its CSR Promotion Division in August of this year in order to increase its activities that respond to society requests. The company has also been working on enhancing the quality of communication with its stakeholders. NEC System Technologies aims to become an enterprise that that is trusted by society while contributing to society through information technology.
