
NEC System Technologies to Offer "CyberTrace" Software for Preventing the Leakage of Confidential Information

December 2, 2004-NEC System Technologies, Ltd. announced today that it has completed the development of "CyberTrace". CyberTrace is a software product which prevents information leakage by protecting and tracing the route of the information. The company will make the product available at the end of December.
"CyberTrace" can protect information assets that are stored on servers by encrypting them and by establishing access control criteria. The software is also equipped with a traceability function that can track the route of information leakage. This is made possible by collecting and analyzing the information assets' route log after the information has been stolen from the server. The new product was developed based on know-how gained through the delivery of solutions in the field of information security. This product aims to provide a more effective means of information protection as well as the route tracking function.
NEC System Technologies, Ltd. expects to sell 750 systems in the first three years.
