NEC System Technologies to Offer "Real Scape",
a 3-D Cityscape Software for Easy Simulation of Beautiful Cityscape and Green Urban Planning |
June 15, 2004-NEC System Technologies, Ltd. announced today that it has developed "Real Scape", a software product that provides quick and easy creation of three-dimensional (3-D) cityscape.
Real Scape software consists of (1) "Aerial Photograph Stereo Processing Tool" that can analyze aerial photographs to calculate the height of buildings and terrain while creating high-precision 3-D modeling of an entire city, and (2) "3-D Cityscape Simulator" that simulates city plans and disaster damage by using 3-D models of the city.
The software can accommodate a spectrum of purposes including urban redevelopment plans aimed at the development of beautiful towns promoted by the Three Green Landscape Bills for the conservation of green areas; the re-creation of, old cityscape for the purpose of history education; and as a tourism resource.
