NEC System Technologies Offers a System for Searching and Viewing Video Images of Legislature Meetings |
January 30, 2004-NEC System Technologies, Ltd. said today that it has started accepting orders for the "Legislature Meeting Video Image Search and Transmission System", a package software targeting municipalities. The software links the video image of legislature meetings with meeting minutes disclosed on the internet. By doing so, the software allows users to easily search scenes by keywords or names of legislative members and play back.
The main features of the "Legislature Meeting Video Image Search and Transmission System" are as follows.
The system performs text search by speech keywords or names of legislative members, enabling users to obtain texts of the minutes that contain the keywords and skip to the scenes in the video/audio which corresponds to the retrieved texts. It allows users to quickly and selectively play back the scenes they wish to see, such as the main theme of a meeting.
In addition, utilizing the editing function of the MediaSynchro engine (synchronization of video and minutes) developed by NEC Corporation for linking legislature meeting video and minutes, the system can automatically generate search keywords. This feature enables, for example, processing the information of a legislature meeting during the night time to post the information on the web site on the day following the meeting.
The "Legislature Meeting Video Image Search and Transmission System" realizes effective information disclosure on the internet by disclosing video images of legislature meetings which are synchronized with the minutes.
