NEC System Technologies and RealVision Establish Spin-off Venture Company, Euphonic Technologies, Inc. |
January 22, 2004-RealVision Inc. and NEC System Technologies, Ltd. said today that the companies have established a spin-off venture company Euphonic Technologies, Inc. The new company will focus on the development of LSIs and boards based on high-speed and high-precision image transfer technologies. The demand for such technologies is expected to grow rapidly in a move toward the realization of the ubiquitous network society.
RealVision and NEC System Technologies will take an equity stake in Euphonic Technologies, Inc. and aim to launch the company's business early on by utilizing both companies IT platform technologies. The combination of RealVision's graphics technology represented by its high-precision display, NEC System Technologies' advanced general-purpose graphics technology and newly developed technologies from Euphonic Technologies, will allow for the quick development of key components for information equipment that helps to realize the ubiquitous network society. The three companies will take advantage of their synergy and strength to develop new markets and expand business.
