NEC and NEC System Technologies Release "GPSSolution" to Further Utilize Real Time Position Information for Efficient Sales Staff Management and Vehicle Management |
December 4, 2003-NEC Corp. and NEC System Technologies, Ltd announced the release of "GPSSolution". GPSSolution integrates real-time position information acquired from GPS-equipped mobile phones with existing information systems. This integration of technologies allows corporations to efficiently support and utilize important position information.
GPSSolution helps utilize position information and includes software develop tools in order to create mobile phone software, construct position information or map information servers, develop applications for sales or vehicle management, as well as tools to link the solution with existing information systems.
Examples of solutions created with GPSSolution include: monitor assignments of security guards at event sites, dispatching and locating vehicle and staff on routine assignments, and finding applications in disaster-prevention systems. The solution also supports photo image data combined with position information to give the user effective instructions and to manage operation with greater precision.
