NEC System Technologies Offers "PowerAssistant-G series"
Package Solutions to Realize Efficient and economic Integration and Reconstruction of
Information Systems Following Municipalities' Merger |
October 21, 2003-NEC System Technologies, Ltd. announced today that it has begun sales of new "PowerAssistant-G series" solutions - part of its "PowerAssistant" package software family for municipalities -- to enable cities, towns and villages to integrate and reconstruct information systems quickly and economically after their merger.
Targeting municipalities with a combined population of fewer than 60,000-70,000 people, "PowerAssistant-G series" helps them integrate systems in a short period and at low cost. It offers 13 types of packages including welfare and election administration. Each package is priced at around 2.5 million yen. The company expects to sell 325 systems in the next three years.
As such systems-related demand is expected to reach peak toward March 2005 when the current law on special treatment for municipalities' mergers runs out, NEC System Technologies plans to increase the number of SE staff responding to the needs of municipalities to 250, with partners in Japan and abroad included in the number.
