NEC System Technologies and Macromedia to Promote Rich Internet Applications Business |
Osaka, Japan -June 19, 2003-NEC System Technologies and Macromedia Japan. announced today that the companies agreed to jointly step up the development environment for building Rich Internet Applications, which are web applications that realize high operability and flexible interface on Web clients in the broadband and mobile era.
Under the latest agreement, NEC System Technologies and Macromedia will jointly develop business components, which will be used to build Rich Internet Applications. NEC System Technologies adopts "Flash MX", Macromedia's Rich Internet Applications development environment, and drive development of business components used to build Rich Internet Applications. (task screen components) Macromedia provides NEC System Technologies with interface development service and tuning, as well as technical support on "Flash MX". In addition to constructing flexible and expressive interface, this move will enable web applications to increase their responsiveness, substantially improving expression and processing speed of Web applications, which have been the issues in the past.
As part of the joint development efforts, the companies will incorporate "Flash MX" into NEC System Technologies's "eBizSolution" for building Rich Internet Applications.
